He also was the head coach at Hallsville when they played Burnadell at White Oak. I don't have tape but I think I have a stone table with a drawing of the game.
The score was 0-0, and we both tied for district with no losses. That was before half the district made the playoffs; only the winner of the district advanced. Coaches flipped a coin to see who would represent the district in the playoffs. Hallsville won the coin toss and advanced, getting beat in semi-finals while we played basketball! Mike Barber’s older brother was our star running back. He caught a pass from me and we thought he was going to score but was tackled by a shoestring tackle on the one yard line as the first half ended!!!

We still wonder what if we had won that coin toss!

Recruited by and played for Tarleton State on Scholorship from 2006-2010. Broke my leg the 09 season and hand but we won the LSC championship. Now they are moving up to Division 1 as an FCS Independent.

I know it's not college, but in 5th grade I signed a one day contract, suited up and played one down as an honorary member of the Houston Thunderbears (arena football).

                            Anyone else go pro?
