We just did this a couple of weeks ago ourselves.
It sucks and hurts.
The other night I found myself chanting her name like I used to do. When she was younger she'd come lick my face, lately she'd look at me and wag her tail.
I realized she wasn't there and teared up, wife looked at me and her were got glassy.

I still hurt.
Remember the good.
