I either wear my 4" or 6" Palm Leaf hat virtually anytime I'm working or playing outside anymore. My father has had many skin growth and/or cancer surgeries and I feel that being very light completed makes me susceptible to that kind of thing.

I have a palm leaf hat that I think has a 5 inch brim. I use it for just about anything if I'm in the sun for more than an hour. It works great. I've had the wind blow it off a few times, but for the most part, it's great. I don't care if people think it looks goofy with shorts and flip flops. I don't want to get skin cancer and it's much easier than sun screen.

I bought this one and it's been great. No shrinkage after wetting and drying, and elastic headband.

I got one of these and really like it. Doesn’t look like the $20 beach hut hats either, its a quality piece. Just need to find a good hat band for it. I like the string also for when the wind picks up.

Stopped by Big Bend Saddlery when in Alpine last year. Talk about a cool place to shop worth going by when in the area.
