    Eating Wild Rabbits

So, who eats wild rabbits? And if you eat them, do you only eat cottontails, or do you eat jack rabbits as well? Any good recipes?

I've heard the same thing. Don't know if there is any truth to it. I've had rabbit a few times, once in a stew and the other fried up. Anything fried taste pretty good.

Yes....mostly cotton tails but also swampers. I have never had a jack rabbit. Stewed over rice is a delicacy in south Louisiana .[emoji106] Not mandatory about first freeze but some may have a large grub worm in their neck b4 cold weather hits.

Sardinian hare stew for jacks. Cotton tail is plenty good chicken fried.

                    And other recipes.

I was told it kills the parasites. How I don't know......

Rabbits are warm blooded animals. They have parasites year around.
