Just throwing out a quick write up and outfitter review now that I’ve caught my breath at work. We went to Sonora January 10 and hunted with Wade Lemon north of Hermosillo. You can’t say enough good things about this hunt. Great guides, great drivers, good enough accommodations and great mule deer. It’s 600,000 acres of bouncing around in a high rack.
The hunting was good some days and tough some days, with warmer than usual weather that had the bucks rutting at night. One day I probably saw 12-15 bucks and one day I saw 2. Despite it being desert, a lot of that ountry is pretty thick, and you better be quick on the trigger! Finally connected on the second to last day on an upper 180s 30-1/2” wide deer. We killed four deer all told with the biggest going 196 despite having 10” or so broke off. All in all it was a great hunt!
