    Osage trad bow sealing.

I am in final stages of my osage bow and now need to seal it. I dont want the bow to stay that yellow color. I have tru oil as i hear thats best but how can i darken up color without using stain and making entire bow brown?
    1. I was thinking wiping stain on with sponge but pressing very lightly so color only hits high spots.
    2. Thought about propane torch burning to get some color.
    3. Or other suggestions or concerns with above methods.
    4. Pictures of osage bows that have been colored would be appreciated. No hickory or oak bows.

No expert here, but I’d Tru Oil it and leave it out in the sun to darken naturally.

Its gonna go brown no matter what you put on it..its just the speed of the browning a sealer will change...some slow some faster.

          Osage trad bow sealing.

Finish it with he tru oil. It will darken over time all on its own!

And I would definitely keep the torch away from that bow!!!!’

It will be beautiful in no time without stain.

Chlorox will darken osage immediately but I like the way it darkens naturally. I've used tru oil or wiped on spar urethane followed by coats of regular wipe on poly in satin finish. Tru oil is pretty glossy.

One of my friends sealed all his with super glue. They darken up very nicely over time.
