How much does this normally run per bag?

We buy it in the by the bulk at the feed store in Goldthwaite. I think last year it was $400 for a ton. We spread it in one of their fertilizer/seed buggy.

So 30-10-10 is the best fertilizer for a plot even though it will be clover, wheat, oats, and chicory?

I would think that the specific blend would be more taylored for your area. In our part of Mills County the 30-10-10 blend works best. If you don't get a soil test I would ask your local feed & seed what blend the local farmers and ranchers use in your general area and go with what they use.
