    How old is this guy?

Public land buck I killed. I figured he would be 5+ but now after looking at the teeth I'm guessing 7? This is an area with a lot of oaks and mast, which I've heard accounts for tooth wear unless I'm wrong.

Impossible to tell, but older than dirt would be accurate.

Holy smokes! I'm no help at aging by teeth but he's old for sure. Congrats on a heck of a public land deer!

Agreed. That could be a 9 or 10 year old deer.

Don't look at the teeth so much look at the dew lap under his chin old run down deer.

I actually shot this guy on December 23rd running a doe. Pretty late to be chasing a doe considering he was shot in north central Texas.

When you get to the point that the pre-molars (front three teeth) are worn like that, either the deer is older than dirt or he should have had braces as a kid.

you could cook that deer medium rare and have yourself some tasty jerky!!

Cream style corn would have worked for baiting in that buck
Bucks like that one you just say 7+ and that will cover it.
