We r at the base if the mountain. Rained alot last night with a heck of a lightning show. Its misting and quiet. No bugles.

We are waiting to see if any elk come off the hay fields and head our way.

We are walking and glassing. Several locator bugles with no response. Everything is wet and lush.

Check that. 3 bulls now. All very young. Maybe 200 yds up the mountain.

4 bulls now. They are feeding in the oak brush 2 are shooters. Gonna get closer.

We struck on those bulls. They were quiet the whole time. We lost sight if them as we headed up the mtn. We climbed down and r gonna make a loop and check out other areas. Light drizzle now. Haven't heard a bugle yet.
