THE Official Twin Buttes Reservoir Thread

Hunted the Buttes this morning and nothing. Did find a gut pile next to my blind. Ugh
So this evening I decide to go sit on a field that a friend of ours let’s me hunt. Sited my 6.5 Creedmoor in today and took my wife on her firs hunt. Had a doe come out about 5 so we waited and about 5:30 another doe came out and I told her to get ready and told her to put right behind the shoulder and squeeze the trigger. Needless to say she made a perfect shot and the doe dropped in its tracks. And she had todo the ritual of blood on the face. And now I’m processing the meat.
So proud of her, this is her first deer ever.

Women always seem to have a calm to them when it come to their first kill. They also know how to make us men look bad cuz they make great shots on their first kills!!! What a rush having watched your best friend shoot her first!!! Gotta love it!!![emoji1662]

I've found the same thing within 50 yards of my blind as well in sec 4, only it's orange tape every 5-10 feet. I haven't followed to see where it leads to yet.

Yes sir. We have dropped 4 deer in less thank a week. Gave one to the land owner. He wants us to take as many as we can because they are killing his crops. Trading him hunting for bay fishing trips this spring and summer.
I took one to the processor and the rest I’m doing myself I’m not paying the prices they are charging now to get them processed.

Hey man don’t have to explain anything to me... haha... Hunting is hunting regardless of where it takes place... Anyone that’s wants to bit€h about where you hunt needs to take their purse and tampons somewhere else.
