I do every now and then. I had stopped to build a bamboo rod then life got in the way and I have to pulled the kit out in a few months.

Florida. I wish it was Texas [emoji16].

My girlfriend got spoiled in Montana. First day fly fishing ever, and all of her fish were 17-20 inch rainbows. Clark Fork fish are strong so she got a good show. This was her very first.

Only one brown hooked all day right at the end. I set the hook, he shot up stream, jumped and threw the hook. 22-23 inch fish. Win some and lose some.

So... been living on the Texas coast since 84’ and JUST NOW catching my first red. BUT... I did it on a fly throwing at tails.

We spent last week in Lake City. Water was really high in most places. They had been really concerned that the town might flood. Luckily it never came to that. We were able to find a stream or two that were fishable and catch a few.

My 4 year old caught his first solo fish. From cast to landing. Great memories!

Hey, what fly shops should I check out while I'm in Houston?

Gordy & Sons is “High End” But have some of the most knowledgeable people you will ever talk to in a sporting store. They have a stocked casting pond you can try out rod and line combos on!
