Lost all my photos of me but my boot camp graduation photo. This was taken many moons ago. My grandpa was my inspiration for joining the Navy, he served in WWII. My father-in-law is a Vietnam vet.

Shows ya how far back this one goes, wearing the ol pickle suit.
I'm center left with the beret on, surrounded by a bunch of goobers. Had to trim out several of the guys. Many were flying the international "your #1" signal.

My grandpa, Cpl. Pereira, and his cousin, Ssgt. Bordelon. They were the same age, both marines, his cousin was KIA at Tarawa. My grandpa was a marksman, wounded at Tinian. I couldn't find my dad's picture yet. Thanks to all for your service! .

Ok.... Working on the other picture...

I sadly lost all my first deployment pictures.

2nd deployment, 19 years old, pretending to be hard in a sandstorm...hahaha

3rd deployment, 21 years old, on the far right

                  Doin' what I did

I never served. Nixon was getting us out of Vietnam when I graduated HS in 1973. Here is a pic of my Dad who served in WWII. 36th division, Cannon company and also received the Purple Heart. RIP my father. He taught me everything I know about hunting and fishing. Died in 1987 at 66 years old.

Maybe it was due to the lack of digital cameras, but the only uniform photo I ever took was the basic training group shot and my ID.

That's me on the right, fresh out of AIT around 1993. We had a photographer come by the base and take pictures for us. He had a Drill Seargent hat for a prop so I got to channel my inner R. Lee Ermy for a few minutes
