    Which Clothes Dryer?

Any of you appliance guys recommend a certain brand over the other?

I want a plain jane dial type dryer. Don’t care for all the fancy stuff. What brand seems to be most reliable and efficient?

Or is this a Ford, Chevy, Dodge type thing?

We bought a basic Speed Queen a year ago. Works great. Simple. It has a galvanized tub rather than the painted/powder coated that cheaper (Whirlpool) has. Cost a hair over $600.

Same boat here. Would really love to find a good old fashioned one from back in the day when one cycle did the job. Now all these so called ENERGY EFFICIENT ones are crap and no so energy efficient if you have to do multiple cycles to dry three pairs of paints and a couple shirts.

Anyone ever stack the speed queens? They make a front loader. We have some smal space requirements.

It's hot enough that you're supposed to use metal vent and not collapsible.

We bought a cheap roper dryer 10 years ago and it’s been great. Never had an issue with it.

I usually just shop for the best deal, not really brand sensitive. I buy the most basic one that I can get. Less to go wrong with it and if something does go wrong I can fix it. Oh....and the washer and dryer don't have to match in my house.....lol They are tools, not fashion statements.
