What caliber? What bullet you want to shoot?
5R rifling has proven to be easier to clean in the couple barrels I have.
Twist rate to stabilize bullet is more important than the number of lands though.

I've heard this and I almost gave it a try on my current build. I went with a 5R Bartlein, though. Next barrel I buy, if I can't afford to try a Proof, is going to be a PacNor.

I went with a Bartlien last time. I'm trying a Brux out this time. The Bartlien was a 5r barrel and it wasn't bad about fouling and was very easy to clean

Ok, just shot some test loads with Berger 180gn Hybrids over 65.5gn H-1000 with 20thou jump.

Factory Remington 700 barrel 1:10 twist I think.

Any advantage to re-barreling to 1:8?

Nice group. That would work great for a standard range hunting rifle.

If it consistently shoots groups like that then I say nope. Save your money for glass or Ammo.

Use the berger seating depth technique and keep the powder constant. It will get you there.
