    Ok thank you all. One more question, how do you determine the flags right?

      Another question? What about a flag you have mounted on a pole in your front yard with the pole only being about 8' to the top of the pole. What do you do about this flag, leave it flying or remove it? No way to lower it to half mast.

        I’m assuming an OSHA flag would be considered a pen at if society? It’s not a flag of a country, city, or anything of that sort.

          Flag statutes and etiquette do not apply to private entities and individuals. It "should be" observed but doesn't have to be. They apply to government/military/etc...

                Sounds to me that these two contradict each other

                (3) the flag of the United States should be, from the perspective of an observer, to the left of the state flag;

                (c) No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America

                      That they do, one is Texas flag code, the other is US flag code
