Not mine to sell. A friend of one of my partners owns them.

              Feeder went off.

Hunting the hill country for years has me spoiled. But hopefully with time, feed, management and a good fence things here will look up.

However until then I will look for another hill country lease.

Acorns are huge, and plentiful in this Jones county shinnery country.
Feeders are of little interest to the deer right now, but they still show up some.

Grab a few kernels and go it seems. That said if there was a population like the hill country, deer and pigs, the acorns get eaten as they hit the ground. As it is they have all they want but they are healthy.

                    Yep, exactly.

That's why I like to primarily hunt my place over on the Clear Fork river.
No oak trees there, so the deer come to the feeders real well.

Last year they hit them later in season. But seems like a lot of the scrub oak acorns are down and many already eaten so maybe it will be sooner this year.

You ever eat at that diner in Hawley on the west side of the highway?

Gnats are horrible. Wish the Thermacell worked on them.

Quite often, and the one down town (Mom's Diner) also.

The folks who own the one up on the highway also own the steakhouse on the east side of town.

I haven't eaten at the steakhouse (TRP Steakhouse) in quite a while, but it used to be really good. Only open Friday & Saturday evenings.
