    Curious deer fat

    those of you who process your own meat are you seeing more fat on your deer than previous years? Just wondering.

    I have but I also started cotton seed this past spring. That along with good rains has them pretty fat

          Heavy acorn drop this year. Puts a good layer of fat on them.

                  My buck was lean. My neighbor commented on how fat the doe were that he shot.

                        Very fat all over on the buck I shot, but he was also the first buck I have shot in a while that was not killed in December after the rut

                            Between me and my kids we have killed 8 deer. All have been fatter than usual.

                              Yes but like others have said I've been feeding protein and cottonseed more this year than any other year
