Mountain Lions in East Texas? Absolutely. No doubt. Documented and easily proven.

    Black Panthers? No.
I think this is very accurate.

I saw a big otter run across a pipeline a few years ago. I got a good look at it so there was no doubt what it was. It looked black because it was wet, and running through the grass about 80 yds away, I could totally see it being mistaken for a big cat. It looked huge and I thought it was much further away. It's tail was as long as it's body and it's posture was very cat like.

I am black panther sceptic because of facts, but after seeing that otter I know now why there are so many "sightings" in East Texas and around the lakes area.

Every small town in Texas has Black Panthers stories, and every lake dam in Texas has had divers go down and see catfish as big as volkswagons! Heard them all as a kid!

I did see a Mt. Lion on the Escondido ranch in Freer. Only one I've ever seen alive.
I saw a dead one hit by a car on the side of the road in Sarita Tx. years ago.

Don't forget about the knowing a person who fell in a giant ball of water moccasins while water skiing too..

Yes. Jags can be black, just like a black deer, they are not very common. There shouldnt be any in Texas unless one escaped captivity from somewhere.

Just no black panthers? Well that anyone one has photo/video proof of anyways. Got it!

Or the catfish the size of volkswagons that scared divers so bad at every dam in each East Texas lake
