    Yes....about a dozen the few miles approaching the ranch and 13 on the ranch as we were filling feeders....most all of those we jumped up when we drove too close to their bedding spots

      We also saw a TON of quail out there this trip. Way more than usual....even some chicks running behind a hen

            We use APA FB muzzle brakes
            ... pretty much zero recoil....

            Shooting them without hearing protection would be a BAD idea though.
