I have killed a few. I managed to miss WAYYYYY more than that. I remember one was climbing up a tree once while I was practicing. He was about 15 yards away. My focal point was his head, when I released, he took off and I stuck him in the back hips. It took a follow up arrow. I don't know how he knew I had even shot.

Very interesting reading about shooting squirrels. Growing up in East Texas, back in the day, we did not have many deer. Some areas did have a lot of squirrels and we used to look forward to opening day of squirrel season. Great table fare. My Dad used to cook them in a pressure cooker before I had ever heard of a crock pot. Squirrel and dumplings.
