    DIY string stop

    Easy breezy.

    Parts:
    1 x 5/16 fine thread rod
    1 x 5/16 fine thread nut
    1 x 5/16 washer
    1 x rubber stopper
    6" heat shrink tubing

total cost = less than $3

If you already shoot a bow with a string stopper you already know how much of a difference it makes. It's unbelievable how much quieter it is and how much hand shock is eliminated. Just need to get some serving for the string and it'll be good to go.

    Your turn!

Where did you get the rubber stopper at?

-Yes. I shoot a Bear 'The Truth' and the stabilizer hole is 5/16 x 24 all the way through.

-Home Depot, but Ace and Lowe's probably has them too.

Pretty neat, I'd like to put a string stop on my bow but I shoot a Bear Instinct and it doesn't have the hole all the way through like The Truth.

The rod is a carriage bolt with the head cut off. Had to cut the threads for it with a fine thread die.

You could probably get away with using a piece of all-thread if you dont have a die set.
