Well since we caught them in saltwater I guess it counts. Lol!!

Fished the nueces river not far from the bay on Sat. Had several TBH’ers on board. Good times and good eats.

Night fishing hasn’t been great around southeast Texas at our usual spots. I figured with super hot temps and little rain it would be on this year, but so far the trout have been mostly mia, and we’ve mostly caught redfish.

A buddy and I went down to his place in POC 2 weekends ago. Killed the trout on Down South Victoria secret. Haven't used much plastic, it was a blast. We caught them all from the jetties. Headed to Port A next week.

The jetty on the ship channel just east of town or heading out to the surf? I'll be down there in a month and plan to fish the jetty just east of town as I don't have a boat.

Absolutely splendid this afternoon

Wasn't the pelagic beat down we'd hoped for but at least we got to go. We had a double hook up right off the bat but they pulled. Not another bite for about an hour.

To say the big pond was a little sporty is an understatement. Momma got a turn in the chair which was good.

I will say I don't think I have the patience for blue water trolling. Maybe I need a better day
