Really looking good. Now that you're a master plumber I could sure use your abilities at my place. In your spare time that is.

Digging trenches is some pretty technical stuff ! From my understanding, you can only go so deep, and they gotta be just so-so wide. Where'd ya learn to do such nice work?

I got lucky enough back when I was 19 working for a construction company, to dig one 5 foot wide,3 foot deep, and 20 foot long in a days time. Guess I lucked out cause my boss liked it. Guess I thought I was getting paid for more than they were gonna pay me come payday too.

              That's a man sized trench!

Well I can't get the shower hooked up til' weekend after next. I guess I'll try to finish up a little paneling, insulation, clean up, and figure out what I'm going to do with the ceiling. Never ending chores.

Alright. I got a lot done on saturday/sunday morning then had to come home. Wife mowed on the JD for a few hours while I finished up some paneling, light fixtures, insulation, ceiling foam board insulation, etc. Then I attached some type of poly waterproof sheets to the walls and floor where the shower is going. Hopefully will have the shower done next weekend. That will be a big relief. Tired of taking a ho bath in the utility sink!

This morning I decided to take my scrap lumber pile and turn it into something useful before I got tempted to burn it. I came up with a little 6' wide firewood rack/shed. Got it slapped together and then cut a piece of tin for the roof. Came out pretty good but wish I'd had some longer runners to make it bigger. Oh well....we don't use that much in the fire pit anyway. Of course Daisy had to photobomb every single picture. There was a rat or something under the old woodpile and she was tearing it up trying to get to it.

The bad....lost a $100 benchmade mini griptilian while I was working on the firewood shed. It's the same color as the ground. Hoping to try the daughter's metal detector next weekend.

Wood rack looks nice. That'll help it cure quicker, keep it drier, and less possibility of something slithery making a home in it or looking for small rodents.

You going to put a wood burner in the cabin for additional heat?

Id like an old cast iron stove. But its so small an electric heater will do the trick. But ive got my eye out for a good deal on a stove

Yah, I was just thinking about ways to save on the little electric bill . And what if you were there and had an outage during the winter? Wood burner would keep you from heading home. Looks like you got lots of wood available on your place too.
Bet you could put up a winddyne or solar panels and get your electric for free from your provider. Or maybe get off the grid too.
