This. The last time we did a big pen, we trickled a bit of corn all along the borders of the trap to the back where the trigger was. They'd just keep going around the pig next to em instead of going straight to the back....caught all 42 of em!lol Medium sized sows down to lil 5lb spotted oinkers.

That will work well if you get them patterned inside.

Good luck and awesome wide gate. I like it
I got my cell cam up today along with the external battery and solar panel. Spread some more corn in the trap also. Pics of the trigger mechanics will have to wait until tomorrow. Not enough signal.

Nail goes through tube and is barely holding the gate in the center.

Tire staked at the front prohibits any movement except forward.

Good ideal with the tire. Shouldn't be long!

Thee or four of them won't ever make it to the trap Bobby. They died of lead poisoning last night.

This one weighed 220/240 according to girth measurement. Another two ran and I didn't try to find them.

This one weighed around a hundred judging by looks and the fact that the old fart could barely get him up on the back bumper of the cart !

All these hogs were taken with a Mossberg rebarreled to 6.8 SPC with an ATN Night Arrow four power NV scope. This one was DRT at 200 yards behind my feeder. Pure luck (but I was aiming at him).

Nice job. We're you hunting near the trap? Hog light on feeder? Thermal?

No, I was hunting in my creek bottom. No hog light, but we have in the past. This is a Gen II night vision scope, about the cheapest decent one I could afford. It does really well to 200/250 yd depending on moonlight. Last night was cloudy and I could still easily see the smaller pig at 200 yd. on a really moonlight night it is awesome for Gen II. I would love to have thermal but I can't justify the cost. I have a good IR fladhlight, but I didn't need it last night. You can see it mounted toward the end of the handguard.

I'm getting some flashback off of the panels, but I don't know whether to cut a square out of it or not. I can still see my gate is in the up position, I guess that's all that counts.

Maybe paint it flat black in front of camera?
