About to head to Terrell County

Will be leaving Thursday morning at Midnight and heading west to Dryden. Taking over 4,000 pounds of protein and gonna fill feeders, drop off one new box blind, and put out game cameras. Our place is about 50-50 muleys and whitetail and we always get a few nice bucks each year. Don't know what it is about that country, but I love hunting out there and look almost as much to the feeder filling trips every 70 days as I do to the hunt. I'll take plenty pics and post once I return.

Bring plenty of hydration fluids with you and work as early as possible. We are on a strict of 100 + for the last 10 days or so with no cooling down in the foreseeable future. In for the pics...

Heading back now. Was a good trip. Left Shiner this AM at midnight and got there just after daylight. Placed my brother's stand and had to drain half of one feeder due to the storm a few weeks back taking a lid off and getting some protein wet, but it was a simple fix and just created some extra feed on the ground. We didn't have any major damage from the storm so for that we were very thankful.

                  The convoy arrives:

Putting out my Bro's box blind.

                  Brother's protein feeder:

My Big Bertha #1 protein feeder...still running like a champ and feeding 3-4 pounds of protein mixed with corn every morning at 7am.

Hunting partner's feeder that had lid blown off....got her fixed, filled and back online.

My 10 year old boy came to help. As we were dumping feed out of the feeder we were fixing, he found and saved this guy from being buried by protein. Snapped this pic and then released him a few yards away to a safe spot. It was by far his favorite part of the trip.

They've been hitting the dicalcium phosphate and mineralized salt mix HARD. (2 trophy rocks in there as well)
