Does that blood look like liver blood? I thought it almost looked like lung blood?

That is a dead deer. A dog would find that deer. Looks like vital blood. Looks arterial. Liver would be a little darker I think from what I see from the picture.

Agreed on the blood color. Was more going off of reaction described with no gut evidence.
I bet a dog can find him if he is down.

I called the dog guy from the list close to my area. I'm thinking about going back out with the spot light to see if I can find him back in the timber. It's been nearly 3 hours from the shot and if that bloos looks right he should be dead by now. Also the blood did not have a gutty smell to it. It smelled like clean blood.
