January archery (rut) deer tags got cut significantly across the board. The unit we always like to hunt now only offers, at best, 6 non resident tags for the January rut hunt, making it virtually impossible for a group to get drawn. Not interested in chasing deer in the heat of September. Just glad we got to go several times over the years. Didn't even put in for the draw this year for the first time in 9 years. Wish non-residents could get back to receiving 15-20% of the tag allotment. Good luck to all of you who drew a tag this year, hope you all kill something!Comment
