Are the new ones any better than the "new and improved" ones from a year or so ago? I'm not familiar with the changes but awhile back the discussion indicated the first layer had changed, stiffer and darker.
Are they still a good option or is there something else?

I use either a Bateman cordovan tab or the old Neet Palm tab, which is now available from Black Widow.

I haven't bought one in a couple years. I heard they put out some stiff ones, but hope they fix it before I need a new one next year.

The new one are stiff like a hard rubber, and nowhere near as slick as the old ones.
