Rick's breaking into song he's shooting so well!

Meantime, while waiting on a new caliper, I shot my Day 2 effort 1-1/4" low for a two-day total of 3/4".

The release felt bad, therefore it was bad. Day two shot two- 2 1/8”. I’ll round yesterday’s shot to 1/4” so total of 2 3/8”.

Rick you really don't take it easy on us do you! LOL!!! Great shooting man, great shooting all! Shot three for me was 3/8" out.
          Day 1- 1 and 15/16"
          Day 2- 3 and 3/4"
          Day 3- 3/8"

Total is what? 6 and 1/16"? Oh that's posting some serious numbers right there!

          Richard.

            Thanks Guys.
I love shooting good groups (with one arrow, one shot at a time)

Still two shots to go. I won't be a bit surprised to see the wheels fall off on at least one, or both of them.

Giving in to, and going ahead & adjusting for the lollipop aiming, looks like is going to be the best decision for me.

Even though I am using the arrow to aim, I just shoot better when I can openly see the spot I want to hit, and the only way to do that is to lollipop it.

            Rick

                Some nice shooting, y'all!

Rick: your reasoning makes sense on target picture; keep it up!

Btw, Ken, my mention of a caliper was regarding a brake caliper -- occurs to me you may have thought I was taking a swipe at you. Not so.

                Carry on.

No sir! Hahaha! It just makes it easier math for a simpleton such as my self.
                  Good shooting fellas!

I've been thinking about getting one of these to measure my shots, but I can't find a yardstick version of it.

Rick, I think six inches will work for measuring your shots.

I still have one of those. Great little tool to have with you around machinery.

                            Day 3 shot- 4 3/4"

First Ive shot at 15 yds holding the bow as vertical as possible. I figured since I missed the paper completely...I better see if Im grouping.

Last night...I made a case to myself for not canting the bow...when I shot bareshafts and held the bow vertical and ended up with some of my best trad groupings.

My logic for not canting: elimination of variable...especially my varying cant angle.

                            Its a slow grind.

Briar: Just get that tight group moved over a little and you're in business! If shooting instinctive, just keep doing the same thing with bow hand and release -- your brain will magically move the impact point over. (You will subconsciously move your bow hand a little.)
