Camp Bullis 2017????

Yikes! When I hunted Bullis along Blanco Rd two years ago there were a few pigs, but they didn't dominate the feeder. Based on the reports and what I've seen it sounds like the pig problem is much worse than just a couple of years ago. You would think that removing 400+ pigs by helicopter recently would put a dent in them.

Long shot, but I wonder if the biologists would let us put out hog traps?

Anyone else with lots of pigs?

My son and I had a group of pigs come in Saturday afternoon. They came into the feeder then dashed before we even could get up the crossbow. Then Sunday morning we had a doe come into our left but didn't give us a shot.

We mostly have does and 4 good size bucks on camera at the feeder. I have not had any pics of hogs though...a few turkey and foxes.

Anyone seeing the rut starting? I hope to get out there this weekend and hunt for the first time.

Killed 2 pigs last night, about 70 and 90 lbs. Had a legal 7 point come in this morning. Old buck with good mass, about 15" spread, Tom.

Glad someone is getting some action. 8B is dead. Only thing coming through here is late night/early morning. Keep on grinding.

Quail

Does anyone know how good quail hunting is at Bullis?
