CJ Box, most of the Clancy books (and the ones written using his characters/story lines). Vince Flynn, almost all of the VN war books (my war), such as SOG by John Plaster. Bravo 20, about a Brit SAS patrol in first Iraq war, The One that Got Away---about one escapee from the Bravo 20 patrol.

One of my all-time favorites is We Were Soldiers Once---And Young again, about a major battle of the VN war.

If you like history, the book about the Lewis and Clark expedition---

I loved the "Left Behind" series. Read them all and couldn't put them down once I started. I also love "Wild At Heart".

C.J. Box has a good series of books about Joe Pickett, a game warden based in Wyoming. It is an entertaining non-fiction series.

I also just finished the Wind River non-fiction book series by Margaret Coel that is based on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. It is an entertaining series as well.

I think the CJ Box/Joe Pickett series is fiction--

You are correct, both Box and Coel are fiction. My bad.
