It took a while but I finally got a deer stand built for me and the wife. Its 8 x 6, plenty of room. I must say thanks to everyone else who posted their builds, I was able to put my plan together by looking at all of the other posts. We framed it out in sections so we could take it apart and re-assemble it when we got it to where we hunt. Ripped 2x4's to frame it with. The base was 2 x 4's covered with 3/4"plywood.
Once we got it together, we painted it with oil based barn sealer help treat the plywood, red was the only color we could find, oh well. Well, even with my limited carpenter skills we got it up, took it down, and got it all back together. Put some tin on for the roof. The biggest hold up on this project has been the paint. All I could find this morning was the black and greenish cammo spray paint. Will get another can or 2 to cover up some more of the red, I don't think it will that big of an issue though. Best thing is its up!
