I've been using brush blinds for the last 4 year years at the Buttes. You have to make sure they are thick and very hard to see through with only a small shooting window if you are bow hunting. These deer are very much alert and they keep their head on a swivel.

Now I am not trying to be a know it all or anything so someone correct me if I am wrong but since TB is now apart of TPWD I believe there is certain regulations against trimming or cutting trees. I remember reading something in the public lands rule/regs book that said trees or limbs couldn't be cut down and any brush blinds were to be made with deadfall and deadfall only. That may only apply to certain public lands or may be an old regulation but just a heads up.
