    A couple interesting pictures

The first one here is a doe behind my house. She has lumpy jaw caused from vegetation of some sort impacted in her teeth. She was this way last year too, and I can't tell that it's hurt her any. If I get the chance, I'm gonna run an FMJ through her and feed part of her to my pup. I'm gonna keep the straps and round though !

This one is a buck I could have killed last year behind my house. I debated about ten minutes on whether to shoot or not, and finally nature's clock ran out and it got too dark. I think he was better last year, I believe the lack of rain hurt his tine length. No matter, he's mature, and I'm through mounting deer unless it's a jaw dropper, so he's on my list also.

This one is no stranger either. I had lots of pics of him last year, both on my blocks and in my peas. He was an Iron clay pea hog. Strange, but the drought hasn't hurt him much unless it's in mass. Hard to tell in velvet. Obviously, he is on my list, but I fully expect him to be a ghost once he sheds. That's what he did last year. One can hope though.......

That is an improve G-2 buck. Mature bucks don’t suffer in drought like those still growing bodies.
But that is south Texas. I have also heard it forces them to eat different foods.

Thought maybe a big abscess, but after looking this up looks more like it.

I shot one last season with a lumpy jaw. For some reason we have a lot of deer with the condition on that particular
                      lease.
Was just a hole in the gum and the pocket was full of food.
