I gotta ask: what is that? An electric chair mouse trap?

Do y'all think it's got enough zapp to work on tree rats? AKA squirrels.

The best way to use 120 is to put a light bulb in series with the hot.

As the animal gets shocked(completes the circuit) the bulb acts as a resistor and lowers the current. Still kills, without tripping a breaker. The higher wattage bulb will make less current at the end

The resistance of the rat won't allow enough current to flow to trip the breaker.

I don't know why it wouldn't, the sons electric fence has taken out a couple of cottontails, one rattlesnake, and one pullet so far this year. With 110 they just need a millisecond, with the dc fence they have to get hung up for a few pulses.

Same principle was used by one of my old running buddies on coons in the trash can. Hot to the metal can, mounted off the ground on a piece of plastic pipe. Neutral to a section of metal screen under the can. Quite the spectacle to see a coon with his hair on fire. It was on a 30 amp breaker, so it took a lot before she tripped.

Haha. Many years ago my grandfather did something similar to dogs that kept peeing on his trash cans.
