    I have a 10' x 10' platform with a roof.
It is a permanent structure that I've also camped on and used as a shaded target shooting platform in the off season.
I liked the idea of being able to take down the blind in the spring through summer so that that I dont have to deal with wasp and bugs all year, but also be elevated in a more permanent location.
With that said, Ive lost interest in hunting in blinds over the years and will likely be going to a tripod or tree stand.

I built a 8'x8'x5' platform for my hard side blind. Have plenty of room to get up there and enter the door without struggling or falling off it.

How about a frame above the pop-up and a tarp tied down. Simple, easy to remove if wanted/replace & keep rain/sun off of blind. Make it slightly slanted or teepee shape and rain won't puddle...

        10' 4x4 posts.
Platform 4' off ground, 6' between platform and tin roof.
attach top hub to roof, it will not collapse.

This $60 tent lasted 8 years in the panhandle.

        Stairs are nice and quiet.

The netting provides depth, shade and a little natural movement to the windows.

Reason I ask is I to was going to build a base but I started looking on craigslist and found these...…………..

bought one and cut the extra metal off the top of the crossbars and made it nice and flat and flush. I then took 3 sheets of treated 3/4 inch plywood and screwed it to the top. Took thompsons water seal and coated plywood just to be safe but now I am 5 feet up and have plenty of room to put my pop up on and have a porch to gather before going in. for 150 plus 100 for the plywood this will last a long time.

i would love to have a couple of those...

Um ok. Rough lease it sounds like.
