Drew blood with the .308 today

Went out this morning before a long range class to see if I could shoot a specific spike that keeps walking across the range during shooting. Ended up shooting him and another spike. Best part is that I was finally able to use the TMR reticle to range them, and dialed my dope and dropped them each with one shot at 445 and 300 yards. Didn’t get a pic of the dummy, he was a 4pt on the left and 1 on the right. These were only the 2nd and 3rd deer I’ve ever shot, first one was an old doe about 10 years ago.

I love it, it’s the FFP model, I’ve used it out to 1000 yards and it tracks great. I bought a 4.5-14 for my 6.5x284, but accidentally ordered the SFP Model, still haven’t shot it.

sweet! I couldnt decide between the 6.5-20x50 ffp or the sig tang4 6-24x50 ffp....so I went with both. I have the sig on my ar308 and so far, so good. I havent finished my bolt gun for the LRP yet.

hmmm, maybe call up leupold and see if they would exchange it for a small??

Both lol. I teach basic marksmanship and long range technique, but I’m still a student at ranging unknown distances and ballistics.
