For that reason only vortex has my vote.
This is one of those rare circumstances. I’ll take the very slight gamble on quality with Leupold any day. My experience with Vortex has been less than par. Not customer service wise but performance wise when compared to a comparable price range scope of others. From what I’ve gathered, they focus on bang for the buck with all the extras on a scope vs glass quality.

Vortex - an American-owned company sells riflescopes that have been manufactured overseas.
Razor HD scopes are manufactured in Japan
Vipers are made in Philippines
Diamondbacks are made in Philippines made as well
Crossfire scopes are produced in China
I’ll stick with Leupold since they are made in the USA and have never let me down
