I don't know what the answer is, but it hasn't been written in the last 15 years.

There are too many roads to take this down, but if I read the OP's intent properly, I would narrow it down to 3 albums right out of the gate.

Robert Earl Keen's Number 2 Live Dinner....So much gold on that album.

    Pat Green's Dancehall Dreamer

    Corey Morrow's Texas Time Travelin.

Just from my time and place. There's Waylon, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff, and all the boys too, not to mention Bob Wills....but I'm not going there.

It's Waylon and Willie: Luckenbach, TX.

Some of you need sorting out with a few posts on this thread.

          Solid choices.

Since you went live on REK.....I would say PG Live at Billy Bob's.

Reckless Kelly - Millican is without a doubt one of the best ever.

I was in the building the night PG recorded that album and can be clearly heard whistling in the background multiple times.

I'm a big fan of all things Reckless Kelly as well. I'd throw in Boland, Great Divide, and Jack Ingram too....but a lot of that is time and place for me also.
