          I weld 3 nuts together and the rod I weld to the stand is welded to the nut it passes through.The rod welded to the window passes through the other end and I drill out the nuts to give a little room and they don't make any noise.The last stand I built I used weldable door hinges.This is 3/8 rod and nuts but 1/4 would work.

                      I use it by a big stack of hay but I think it will work by itself were the deer are used to seeing hay.
