With no brace posts I doubt you'll get that wire or barbwire tight enough to keep them out since they've been In there and got a taste. Go with taller cattle panels.

That was so 2007. And was the two weeks I'm talking about.

You must swear by hog panels[emoji23]

In the OPs defense, he pens looks like they are decent enough size assuming that the camera is on a tpost on the other side of the pen

We installed the portable feeder pens this weekend and those are NICE. I never even picked up a tpost driver or broke a sweat with 3 pens.

You must have some extremely hangry cows on your leases too!

Run a stand of gotcha barbed wire around the top to ensure the cows get a poke when they lean on the fence. Add a few more t-post and that should do the trick. We find that when we build the feeder pens on the large side, enough distance from the actual feeder the cows tend to leave it alone. Barbed wire , single strand will add extra measure of security when they lean on panels. I know some are concerned with catching a deer in the barbed wire, but typically it takes two to three strands close together, like a goat fence to act as a snare. Probably too much info, but hope things work out.

One or two strands of sharp barbed wire along the top of the panels.
