The first week of the season the bucks where bedding at the very top in the rocks. We only saw them get up the first and last hour. I'll be back up there for the last 5 days of the season.

Gonna stick to the spot where the does are and hope to find a buck.

I was hoping they were still up there, but after many hours of glassing up high the first few days, all I could find were elk.

Kole had to head back home early this morning. I headed up to the area we've seen deer and hunted up a draw then sat on an area with multiple trails and water. Nada.

This has become a meat hunt now. First buck seen will be shot!

Did get to see a fox messing around, so that was cool.

What did the buck look like that was bedded in the center of the cover in the bottom of your picture?

Talked to the lady who runs cattle out here and she said she had seen a big buck down in some canyons to the north. Went and glassed two canyons all afternoon and only saw a coyote.

Time to stick to the area I have seen deer. Hunting the same area from here on out. First deer with bone is getting shot.
