Exact thing happened to me with a coral snake. Sitting cross legged against a tree with my hands in my lap. Dozed off and woke up with a big coral snake coiled up inches from my fingers. Never jumped up so quick in my life.

Terrible. I live in Copperhead country. I've been inches from them so many times it's not funny. Extremely glad they are pretty docile.

Had a rattle snake climb right through my legs, while fishing on the rocks in Surfside. Thought it was pretty cool actually. He acted like I wasn't even there.
