I then climbed the hill of torture back to camp to drop off my gear and get a pack. Luckily my brother and my nephew was there and they came back to help pack out. Thank God!!

Thx everyone. And yes, this is my first bear! Makes it really special that I got to hunt with my brother and all his hard work made this possible! We drove off the mountain today and met the local game warden at his place to check in my bear. He aged the bear at around 10 years old. He also was pretty impressed that I got it with Trad gear that I made! He was a great guy to deal with and he kept congratulating me on my success!
