    Good luck!
    It's windy here.
Didn't even hear the Coyote singing tonight.
I ended my night by sitting a corn bandit in the cranium @100 yds with my AR 10 chambeed in .308. topped with a Vortex Viper HST 6-24x50.
I was using my Sniper Hawg Light 66LRX with the red bulb for illumination. I watched him 5 minutes waiting on the wind to lay down. It didn't. I put read but of Kentucky Windage on it and let her eat.
First shot didn't go boom. I flinched like a little girl and stopped squeezing. Got my nerves under wraps and started the process over again. Almost used to much KY Windage. In just above the left eye out below the right ear.
He was North of me and we had a Gusty NW wind.
I expected to hit the neck behind the ear as he was quartering too me.

Got one last night as well.
First shot was a flyer. I flinched like a little schoolgirl.

I'm not liking my new rifle.

    I miss my AR15.
I swapped my AR15 5.56 and my Savage BVSS model 12 in 300 WSM for this setup.

Just behind and below left ear, buddy of mine told me usually the exit would foams like that, but that was the entry. Clean pass through, she dropped about 20 yards away.

                                Not a succinct reply:

So tonight me and a buddy try it a new spot.
I've been trying for a month or more to get him on something. Since we last went I've got 2 pigs and 3 Coons.

Our Landowner says the pigs in this field are big ones.

Sambo73 got one in the field next to this one. It was a big one.

We decided to setup right were they've been rooting. We think we know where they're coming in at.
I tell my buddy that shoulder shots using .223 55gr VMax isn't a good DRT combo. Shot em in the ear.
If you've followed any of my posts you know I've tried the shoulder shots. It kills them but the run and can't find them.
That's why I switched to head shots and .308 for pigs.

The wind was wrong for that shot.
But if they come up the draw behind us the winds perfect.
We saw one bunny rabbit and the Space Station.
We decided to walk down to the pond to see if they're there. They're not.
We walk back to our blinds, we wasn't trying to be really stealthy.

We get back and my buddy beds to grab his blind, I turn to the draw and start scanning with my flashlight. I see a big pig.

I call PIG my buddies like huh what.
I'm like get your rifle up! She's right under that tree to the left of the trunk.
                                He's all like what tree.
I'm like you seem the flashlight in the branches
                                He's like yeah
                                I'm like THAT tree.
I've been trying for a while to get him on something I was excited for him.
So I was the light down on her and she looks up at us, stress facing us. Seems a tad skittish.
                                I'm like You on her
                                He's like yeah
I'm like shoot when to have the shot
About this time she booked the the left and away from us.
In raise the light up off of her and dial the intensity down to where you can barely see her.
                                He's like I can't see her.
I'm like let her calm down for a minute.
I put the light back on her on low and she gets antsy. In rate the light back off of her, raise it up off of her and slowly bring it down on her. She seems ok with that. My buddy says something
I'm like when ever you have the shot
                                He says something
I turn up the intensity on the light
He says something and then Crack he shoots. She bolts to the left and away again headed for the draw is my guess.
I ask where he shot her
He's like over there by that tree
I was like ok where did you hit her
He's like just being the shoulder
I was like : inside: for real! Ain't we covered this already. Not a good shot for a DRT or short tracking job.
I say ok let's get after her.
I was hoping he'd get another on into her, he didn't. By the time I got my rifle shouldered she was in the brush. It's an AR10 my fish light is mounted on top of scope. I had he buttstock on top of my shoulder.

We look for an hour. No luck.

As we get in the truck he said he saw 3-4 more milling around in the tree line.

I shared with him again why I switched from shoulder shots to head shots on pigs. I shot a pig through the heart. He ran 65 yds North of the fenceline he was another 10 or so south of it at 30 yds when I shot him.
I hit him right side behind the last rib.
I recovered the bullet in his left arm pit.
He had a nickel sized hole through his heart.

Tomorrow I'm going back to look.

I left my fanny pack in the truck with my white light and Mosquito repellant.
The white light is more useful to track than the red.
The mosquito repellent wasn't needed real bad but would have come in handy.
