    Cayenne Pepper Uses

So we bought a pepper plant that was mislabeled that ended up being cayenne’s. Anyone have a good use or recipe for them? That plant is producing better than any of my others and I don’t know what to do with them.

Dry them and use a coffee grinder to turn them into powder.

      Pepper jelly
Dry, mince, store in a shaker for adding to food

      Endless possibilities

I wish mine were producing like yours! I plan to dry and make powder with mine. I bought a $14 blender at Walmart to do this... don’t use your main blender!

When we grew them we would make pepper sauce.
This pepper sauce recipe is a Southern family favorite. Perfect to serve with cornbread, greens or peas, this pepper sauce recipe is one you'll turn to again and again.

This sounds simple enough. May try that this afternoon to get some taken care of. That is for all the ideas. Keep them coming.

Then when you want to use them you throw them in a food processor or something? That recipe looks more like pickled peppers, rather than a sauce. Just curious, because a sauce would be good to make and have on hand.

You add the juice to food like greens or pinto beans. They add great flavor and a little spice.

I had 29 cayenne plants I grew from seeds last year. I have enough to last me the rest of my life now.

Got about 9 gallons in freezer bags in the freezer. They will get used for all sorts of things from dried pepper, to salsa.
