Had a buddy stumble across a corpse in the dark on the way to his stand one morning a couple years ago on their lease outside of Del Rio.

Makes you realize how good we have it in our country. These people are willing to leave their homes and family, having to travel at night by moonlight or minimal light through snake laden, thorny, desert/harsh country, risking thier lives just to find work.

One of the guides down on the Cochina/Catarina told me they used to find several a year. Last year they didn't find any but also didn't see many coming thru. One year we almost ran over one laying in the road and the guide just drove around him and left him saying all he wanted was to be picked up because a rain storm was coming in---and it did rain.

What was it Josey Wales said?

sad for sure but........ more times than not the ones sneaking in aren't the ones we want here anyway. Thats why they sneak in, they can't get in legally.

Happened to us last deer season, but I think the guy was from El Salvador. His group he was traveling with left him by the road so that he would be found. No telling how many are out there that havent been found.
