Also, try Dyer's Burgers on Beale street. Haven't changed their grease since 1912...just strain it everyday. Their burgers are amazing. When they changed locations, the Memphis PD provided a police escort to move the grease to the new location.

Germantown Commissary, I used to live out there. Ranked in the Top 10 for BBQ places around.

BTW the bass pro shop in the pyramid is pretty cool and something to see if you have time.

Had a Dyer's burger a couple weeks ago when we went over there for the farm show. I can't look at that grease pan, but the grub isn't bad at all.

Well, business is really, really good if you are in Memphis and have a career in LE. Trust me, she won't be bored... at some point you may hear some of the best stories in your life from her! Sorry to shift gears on the thread

For good ribs though...check out Marlowe's.
I second the fried chicken. I had ribs at two different must see places and I should have went back for more chicken.

I've been working in Memphis for a little over a year now off and on. I will be praying for your daughter. The crime is really bad.
Back to food. I haven't had any great BBQ and I've tried all the big name places. Gus's is consistently good. Also a place called Soul Fish that I really like.
