could use fiberglass tent poles from wal-mart in camping section for roof. Cheaper to use latex paint but would oil based work better or would the mess out weight the positive. Otherwise darn good thinkin, way to use the ole noggin.

No you want to use latex as it will last longer, weather better and the latex drying is what makes it shrink and fit tight around the mesh.

I really like the idea, just wondering is there a medium to use for camo tarps (burlap) instead of sheets? I was thinking like some sort of clear glue like Elmers, but this would probably expensive. Any ideas on what could work?

I like it. I have about 100 gallons of paint left over from a job. I'm glad I didn't throw away the samples.
