You'd be surprised how many people bait, put up permanent stands and drive off the road out there in all the NF's. There seems to be a wide disregard for the law out there and the lack of enforcement doesn't help anything. It sucks to scout and work all summer then have someone move in on your spot come deer season and corn it where you can't hunt it. I've been running into that more and more.

Those are some great bucks Flash!

I agree completely... happens way too often. Heck I've even ran across feeders. It's insane the things people do. Ive seen and office chair hanging from a tree by ropes. Just interesting people

I feel you here. Last year I spent 3months targeting a buck. I finally got to the point that I was getting pics of him using a trail every two days. Hunted the spot for 3 days. On the fourth day I got a picture of a guy walking on the trail with a bag of corn. Fifth day I got a pic of the buck again. Sixth day my camera was gone. It's so frustrating. Who knows maybe I had moved into an area where he was already hunting. But still.....leave a note or something. Don't just take my stuff. I have walked up on multiple cameras and simply turned around. I was ground hunting in a very large thicket once and walked up on what looked like a fire lane in the middle of the thicket. It was about 50yrds long and 10'wide. Someone had gone in there and cut trees down and cleared underbrush and put a popup on one end and a camera with corn on the other end. The ground blind was all bleached out with holes in it so it had been there awhile. Beer cans and coke cans littered the floor. It was sickening.

I hate beer cans. That just makes my blood boil. We have 160,000 acres to hunt and they treat it like a dumpster. Respect the land we are lucky enough to make boot prints in year after year.

It drives me crazy to scout a new spot and find trash in the woods.

What's your video camera set up at the DC? I basically take a small pack my climber and bow. I don't carry anything that can't get wet. So just curious how you do it.

I keep a ziplock in my pack. If it starts raining I slip the camera in there then put it in my pack. I am guilty for packing way too much stuff in with me. I hang my bag on the tree and my Bow and camera mount to my stand. I made my own camera arm that mounts on my climber. There is a video on my YouTube Chanel that shows how I made the arm. I haven't filmed in about 3 years but looking to get back into it.

I'm gonna look into that. I've never had a kill on camera though the last 6 or so animals I've killed I've had the camera. Either battery dead, didn't turn it on, happened too fast, and once the blind window was in the way. So it's dang sure a challenge, my hats off to you for 2 public land kills on camera

I have found rubs in there on trees as big around as my thigh. Some huge deer are hiding in there for sure.

Yeah I have a spot that year after year all different bucks rub this tree, it's about 10 inches across. But I haven't been there since they burned that area and it's not too far from a road so I doubt they will be in there unless the cover grows on up

                          I'll second that, Mineral Block.

Not accusing anyone of anything but the way those deer are posing and watching they are definetly feeding on something in that spot. Right in that spot.

My goodness! The guy posts some pictures of some good deer and all of a sudden everybody is a game warden. He said it WASN'T a mineral/ salt block. Let's just enjoy the pictures.

Lol. Thank you. I've learned to expect actions like that when posting on this site. Honestly I see where they are coming from. It does look like a block. But how else can you get everyone to believe you other than going there with a video camera and proving it. Not worth it. Lol. No hard feelings guys. I'm going up in three weeks if anyone would like to see for themselves. Haha. I will need to blindfold you and escort you back there.

In all seriousness thou, has anyone else got any pics? Any info from the other fellow DCNF hunters?
